1. Campaign period:
1.1 The event will commence on 2nd October 2022 till 8th October 2022, while the competition will be carried out from the 3rd October 2022 ( 9am) till 7th October 2022 ( 5pm ). Registration will take place till 30th September 2022.
1.2 The Competition may be withdrawn earlier by the organiser at any time without prior notice.
2. Eligibility:
2.1 Only individuals aged 18 years old or above are eligible for this simulation
2.2 Registration for at least 1 workshop is mandatory to participate the Stock Trading Simulation Challenge
2.3 To participate in this competition, participants are required to register with the registration link provided before the registration deadline. Upon registration, participation will be confirmed upon receiving a notification via email. All registered participants are required to register an InvestingNote account (FOC) to participate in the Stock Trading Simulation Challenge. Further introduction and details on the InvestingNote platform will be provided during the first workshop.
3. Trading Competition Details
3.1 Participants are required to build a simulated investment portfolio with a virtual initial capital. We will be providing virtual capital of one hundred thousand Ringgit Malaysia (RM 100,000) through trading predefined securities products listed on Bursa Malaysia within the Simulation Period.
3.2 Securities products may include Common Stocks, Warrants and Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) listed on the Bursa Malaysia.
3.3 Each participant is only eligible for one (1)virtual trading account. Any participant who creates more than one (1) account shall be considered in breach of the SBIS Annual Event Terms & Conditions and shall be disqualified from the Simulation.
3.4 Each participant is required to make a minimum of THREE (3) trades, in order to be eligible for prizes.
3.5 Trading is by the market order only. Participants will have to monitor the market activity to buy and sell. No advanced limit/stop order is allowed.
3.6 The challenge trading hours on trading days are listed below:
- Date: 3rd October 2022 to 7th October 2022
- Time: 0900 - 1700
3.7 No odd lot may be traded.
3.8 No short selling is allowed.
3.9 No margin account is allowed.
3.10 Every trade is subject to a commission rate of 0.1% at the moment.
3.11 Dividend and stock split (if any) will be taken into consideration. Any dividend income will be payable to the participants’ virtual account based on the ex-dividend date. This simulation challenge does not support IPO subscriptions, right issues, or additional issuance.
3.12 In case of any rights or warrants issued by the listed company, participants need to close their position before the issue.
3.13 In the event that any securities products in the participant’s portfolio are suspended and halted at any point in time during the Simulation Challenge,the holdings of these securities will be calculated based on the last traded value.
3.14 During the Simulation Challenge Period, a leadership showing the most updated results of participants will be shown on InvestingNote.com. The leaderboard will be updated on a daily basis.
3.15 During the Simulation Period, the participants’ portfolios will be set to ‘public’ and will be visible to external visitors.
3.16 The Top 3 leaderboard’s participants on 7th October 2022 (after 5pm, at the end of competition) will be projected on the screen on the 8th October 2022.
3.17 The organiser reserves the right, at any time, to reverse, modify or update any rules in the InvestingNote Trading Cup 2022.
3.18 The organiser reserves the right, at any time, to reverse, modify or update any transaction in the InvestingNote stimulation platform placed by participants as it deems fit.
4. Winner and Prizes for Competition
4.1 In order to be eligible ‘winners’, participants must send over their real identity details.
4.2 The ranking of the leaderboard will be based on the simulated investment portfolio with the most capital gains at the end of the Competition (5PM, 7th October 2022). Only realised profits will be taken into account at the end of the Simulation Challenge. In the case of any open positions not closed out by the end of the Competition, the last stock price will be used to calculate the gain/loss for each of the respective positions.
4.3 Prizes are not transferable, and may not be deferred, changed or exchanged for any other item.
4.4 Prizes are subject to change at any time at the sole discretion of the organiser and any changes shall be final and binding upon every participant.
4.5 The announcement of the winners will be announced on the 8th October 2022. All respective prize winners will be contacted via email.
4.6 The organisers are not responsible for any prize losses or claims caused by error in entry of personal particulars.
4.7 The organisers make no representation or warranty to the quality of the prizes and assume no liability or responsibility for any defects or non-performance of the prizes.
5. General Terms and Conditions
5.1 Any form of abuse, hacks or cheating is strongly prohibited. The organiser reserves the right to disqualify any participant who breaches the Terms and Conditions. The organiser further reserves the right to award prizes to the next best eligible participant in the event that any persons who are disqualified or ineligible are placed in the prize-winning positions.
5.2 By participating in the Campaign, all participants are deemed to have given their consent that participants acknowledge and agree that webinars and other presentations during the Campaign may contain information or content from third party sources or the views of third party individuals or entities. Such third party content or views have not been independently verified by SBIS and InvestingNote.
5.3 The participant hereby confirms, represents and warrants that such participant is not and will not be in breach of any law in such participant’s country of residence or other applicable law regarding the legality of entering into and participating in the Campaign. The organiser, its affiliates, partners, sponsors, service providers and their respective employees, officers, agents and representatives, shall not be responsible or liable for the participants in the Campaign in breach of such laws. Each participant is advised to check and seek relevant advice on the applicable laws before participating in the Campaign.
5.3 The organiser reserves the right to postpone, withdraw and cancel the Campaign at any time without prior notice. The organizer further reserves the right to change, amend or withdraw the Terms and Conditions without further notice.
6. Disclaimer
6.1 The organiser, its supporting partner, sponsors and their respective officers, employees, directors, affiliates and subsidiaries, representatives and/or agents shall not be liable or responsible for damages, losses, injuries, rights, claims or actions of any kind in connection with the Campaign, or resulting from participation in the Campaign and/or acceptance, possession, use/misuse of prizes.
