1. Simulation Period
1.1 The Simulation will start on opening of the trading hours on 25 March 2024 and it will end at the close of trading hours on 23 May 2024.
1.2 The Simulation may be withdrawn earlier by the organizer at any time without prior notice.
2. Simulation Rules and Regulations
2.1 Only students from Curtin University Malaysia registered under the Curtin Finance and Investment Club is eligible to join as participants.
2.2 Participants are limited to one account each with an initial virtual capital of RM100,000.
2.3 Participants may only trade stocks/shares listed on Bursa Malaysia with a minimum value of RM0.1/share.
2.4 All transactions will be charged a 0.2% commission fee, minimum RM15.
2.5 Trades can only be executed as a whole and will be denied if there is insufficient buying power to complete the entire order.
2.6 Trading is by market order only (buy & sell). No odd lot may be traded. Short selling & margin account are not allowed.
2.7 The maximum allocation of cash for each underlying stock/index hold is 40% of the total portfolio.
2.8 The challenge trading hours on trading days are listed below:
Bursa 1st session (9:00am – 12:30pm)
Bursa 2nd session (2:30pm – 4.45pm)
*Closed on Saturdays, Sundays and during Public Holidays.
2.9 Dividends will be included in the profit calculation.
2.10 Leadership board will be updated daily, and participants’ portfolio will be visible to public throughout the simulation period.
2.11 The organizer reserves the right, at any time, to reverse, modify or update any transaction in the InvestingNote stimulation platform placed by participants as it deems fit.
3. Prizes & Winner Announcements
3.1 Winners will be judged based on the top 3 highest portfolio return by every 3 Fridays.
3.2 The announcement of first round winners, second round winners and third round winners will be announced on 12th April 2024, 3rd May 2024 and 24th May 2024 respectively. All respective prize winners will be contacted via email.
3.3 The organizer is not responsible for any prize losses or claims caused by an error in the entry of personal particulars.
3.4 The organizer has the rights to refuse transferal of prizes to unidentified/unidentifiable players or players NOT registered under Curtin Finance and Investment Club Semester 1 2024.
4. General Terms and Conditions
4.1 The organizer will not be held liable or responsible for any late, misdirected, lost or unsuccessful efforts to notify the Recipients or to issue the Rewards. The organizer shall have no liability for any Recipients’ failure to receive notices due to spam, junk e-mail or other security settings, email services and/or interruption in the internet connection or any disruption or failure in other means of communication or despatch to the Recipients which is not within the control of the organizer.
4.2 Any form of abuse, hacks or cheating is strongly prohibited. The organizer reserves the right to disqualify any participant who breaches the Terms and Conditions. The organizer further reserves the right to award prizes to the next best eligible participant in the event that any persons who are disqualified or ineligible are placed in the prize-winning positions.
4.3 The organizer reserves the right to postpone, withdraw and cancel the Campaign at any time without prior notice. The organizer further reserves the right to change, amend or withdraw the Terms and Conditions without further notice.
4.4 The organizer will not be held liable or take action for any unfairness caused by late registration.
