About Alpesh Patel
I left being a lawyer, to trading full-time. To be mentored by the best traders in the world, the Financial Times published my interviews with leading traders in my first of 18 books (The Mind of a Trader).
Thereafter, winning competitions on Bloomberg TV, where I had my own online trading show and Financial Times where I wrote a weekly diary of my online trading (Diary of an Internet Trader), I was asked by family offices, and then pension funds to manage money, so I established an FCA regulated asset management company. The UK Government uses me as a Dealmaker. I expanded from hedge funds into investing in fintech around AI and algo-trading to create the 'Google of Trading' using algos.
I keep in close touch with my roots - ie retail private investors and continue to be asked by major brokerages as a trusted figure to give talks to their client base. Past clients include Goldman Sachs, Barclays among others. I am also behind multi-award winning investment software which data-mines to outperform traditional fund managers. I believe hedge funds have to move towards technology and algos to survive and that we must democratise trading by licencing such hedge fund tech to the masses.
