Watsco, Inc.( Watsco) is the distributor of air conditioning, heating and refrigeration equipment and related parts and supplies (HVAC/R) in the HVAC/R distribution industry. As of December 31, 2012, the Company operated from 573 locations in 38 United States, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico with additional market coverage on an export basis to Latin America and the Caribbean, through which it serves more than 50,000 contractors and dealers that service the replacement and new construction markets. It sells an expansive line of products and maintains a diverse mix of inventory to meet its customers� immediate needs . The Company seeks to provide products a contractor, which would generally require when installing or repairing a central air conditioner, furnace or refrigeration system on short notice. Effective July 3, 2014, Watsco raised its interest to 80% from 70% in Carrier Enterprises LLC, a Coconut Grove-based manufacturer and wholesaler of air conditioning systems.
