It also engages in credit card services, merchant and automated teller machine (ATM) processing, mortgage banking, insurance, brokerage and leasing. The Company operates in five segments: Wholesale Banking and Commercial Real Estate, Consumer and Small Business Banking, Wealth Management and Securities Services, Payment Services and Treasury and Corporate Support. U.S. Bancorp�s banking subsidiaries are engaged in the general banking business, principally in domestic markets. In June 2014, the Company acquired Charter One's retail branch network, as well as small business operations and select middle market client relationships.
