Valley National Bancorp (Valley) is a bank holding company. As of December 31, 2011, Valley had consolidated total assets of $16.0 billion, total loans of $11.0 billion, total deposits of $11.3 billion. Valley owns VNB Capital Trust I and GCB Capital Trust III, through which trust preferred securities were issued. As of December 31, 2012, the Bank had 210 branches in 146 communities serving 16 counties throughout northern and central New Jersey, the New York City boroughs of Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens, as well as Long Island, New York. The Bank provides a range of commercial, retail and wealth management financial services products. Valley National Bank operates in four business segments: commercial lending, consumer lending, investment management, and corporate and other adjustments. Valley�s Wealth Management Division consisted of trust, asset management and insurance services, is included in the consumer lending segment. On January 1, 2012, Valley acquired State Bancorp. Inc.
