Horizon Technology Finance Corporation is a closed-end, non-diversified management investment company. The Company�s investment objective is to generate current income from the loans it makes and capital appreciation from the warrants it receives when making such loans. It makes secured loans (venture loans) to companies backed by established venture capital and private equity firms in its target industries (venture lending). Horizon Technology Finance Management LLC is the advisor of the Company. In December 2013, the Company announced in connection with the sale of substantially all of the assets of ACT Biotech, Inc, the Company has successfully settled its investment in ACT Biotech, Inc.
