All store formats generally offer an selection of sellers and other hardcover and paperback books, magazines, toys, games, electronics and gifts. In addition to the retail store formats, the Company offers its products over the Internet at Booksamillion.com. The Company operates in two segments: retail trade and electronic commerce trade. As of February 2, 2013, operated 257 retail bookstores, concentrated primarily in the eastern United States. Effective July 24, 2013, Books-A-Million Inc raised its interest to 60% from 40% by acquiring a further 20% interest in Yogurt Mountain Holding LLC.
