Amtel Holdings Berhad is engaged in the principal business activities of investment holding and the provision of management services. It operates in four business segments: Investment holding, which also provides management services; Infrastructure, which is engaged in contracting for installation, jointing and testing of utilities, telecommunications and fiber optic cables and associated civil works; Manufacturing and service, which is engaged in the manufacturing of agricultural testing products, general assembly services of mechanical and plastic components, and plastic injection-molding and money lending activities, and Trading, which imports, trades and distributes telecommunication products and accessories, and also designs, implements and manages telecommunications projects. The subsidiary company, Sunrise Systems Sdn. Bhd. (SSSB), was disposed of on November 2, 2004.
