Listed on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, MAAH is the holding company of Malaysian Assurance Alliance Berhad (MAA Assurance), one of the country�s leading insurance companies in terms of annualised new business premiums for life insurance business and total gross premiums for general insurance business. MAAH became the holding company of MAA Assurance through a corporate restructuring exercise which saw MAA Assurance being restructured into an operating company involved solely in the underwriting of life insurance and all classes of general insurance business while its other non-insurance businesses were transferred to MAA Corporation Sdn Bhd (MAA Corp), a wholly owned subsidiary of MAAH. The listing status of MAA Assurance was transferred to MAAH on 11th June 1999. MAAH through its subsidiaries and associated companies are involved in general and life insurance businesses, including offshore and reinsurance businesses, hire purchase, leasing and other credit facilities, unit trust, property management, fund management and investment advisory, security and consultancy services and the operation of charitable dialysis centres.
