Part of having users create or share content is that something somewhere is going to offend someone somewhere. Part of being an adult is learning how to use the mute/hide/block button or continue scrolling.
If you don’t like something, you don’t have to view it. If you don’t like someone, you don’t have to associate with them. If you see something illegal happening, report it.
By allowing people to speak/express/share freely, we shine multiple light sources on darkness and lift people out of ignorance instead of trying to ridicule them for having a different politically opinion or sharing an “edgy” meme on the internet.
